Hol Art Books

I recently joined Artreview.com, a new social network for the art world created by the publishers of ArtReview magazine. Wanting to get myself outside the boundaries of whatishol.com, and to better understand social networking in general, I was ultimately convinced to go with Artreview.com in particular, by the support and participation they've received from some favorite art bloggers (here, here, and particularly right here).

As well as participating in the Book group, I'm going to be posting some original book reviews there that don't fit on this blog or in the Hol Bulletin. And you might also see some reviews of films about art (which are how I take a break from reading books about art). Find my Artreview.com profile page here.

We'll see what happens. I suppose I could have started in Facebook or MySpace and worked within existing art networks there, but I like the idea of focusing on a smaller, more cohesive network instead. Also, working on a start-up venture myself, I understand the heightened value of contributing to nascent efforts like Artreview.com. I hope you'll check it out.
